Who I am

I am a contract audio engineer and sound enthusiast. I am locally involved in studio recording, live sound and audio visual assistance for private events. However, I am most passionate about studio recording and becoming the best recording and mixing technician that I can be. For the last several years I have been constantly researching and experiencing the newest technology and methods available to stay on top of the industry. It has been a lot of work. So what I’ve decided to do is to see if I can turn this interest in this fast paced industry into my own career by providing what I have learned to help other musicians and engineers create the best music that they can.

What’s going on everybody.

My name is Jake,

Welcome to my website!

My Mission

As an audio engineer, producer or DIY musician in this ever evolving industry our goal should be to learn and master new technology all the time. My mission is to present you with the tools and knowledge that you need to make the most out of the music you are apart of. The music industry is changing, but so is how we do things. Why deny it when we can master these skills and stay on top of the evolution. Just know it’s the technology that is being phased out, not the skill. So if you are looking to keep up with the industry and make the most out of your home studio come check out what I have to offer. Let’s set the bar for the industry and embrace the evolution.

Why should you care?

The music industry is changing. It’s not what it was even just a few years ago. Technology is adapting so fast that everyday software is closing the quality gap on high end studio gear. This means it is becoming easier and easier to get studio quality recordings in your own home. Don’t get me wrong, there will always be an advantage to renting studio time. I even wish more musicians would realize the benefit of this big investment. The fact of the matter is that it is very difficult to afford studio time on a musicians budget. I understand the dilemma very well. Why spend thousands of dollars on an album recorded  in a professional studio while it is possible to spend a fraction of that cost and still get a somewhat comparable product from a home studio. Due to technology home studios are just becoming the more realistic option.
